BIOGRAPHY
Tawnee Marie Calhoun was born September 12, 1989 in the city of Rockford, Illinois. Tawnee enjoyed reading and writing from a young age, scribbling stories about fairies and talking animals down in a small, red-bound journal. Her love for reading and writing only continued to grow as she did, devouring authors from Edgar Allan Poe to Nathaniel Hawthorne. J.R.R. Tolkien's famous tale of hobbits and dark lords instilled a lifelong love of fantasy literature.
Until 5th grade, Tawnee attended a private Lutheran school in Machesney Park, Illinois. After sophomore year of high school, Tawnee was homeschooled until graduation.
From 2008 to 2012, Tawnee attended Loyola University in Chicago, double-majoring in English - Creative Writing and Communication Studies, with a minor in Sociology. During her senior year at the university, Tawnee worked part-time in the school's library.
Tawnee graduates from Loyola University this May with two Bachelor of Arts degrees. She plans to attend graduate school for secondary education.
